About Colin M Cram FCIPS
CEO
Colin has a 50 year track record record in creating and directing leading-edge procurement organisations, addressing annual spends of up to US$10billion. He has operated at CEO level in public and private sectors. In 1981, he initiated the drive to improve the management of UK public sector procurement and the outsourcing drive. In January 2013, he appeared before the UK's Parliament and recommended further major reforms in the management of the UK public sector's US$250billion procurement spend.
The UK government has been implementing his main recommendations.
Colin has written for major UK newspapers including The Times, the Financial Times and the Guardian. and been regularly interviewed on UK (BBC) radio and TV. His professional workshops in procurement and combating fraud have attracted many global private sector companies, major universities and public sector organisations in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. He has been a Visiting Fellow at Manchester University.
